Healthgrades was launched in 1998 as a platform to help patients connect with the best healthcare provider. Now, almost every single doctor in the United States has a Healthgrades profile!
Some doctors make their own profile. However, the majority have their profile automatically generated. The details on a Healthgrades profile are pulled from public information. Once the profile is live, patients can begin leaving reviews even if the doctor doesn’t know about their profile.
Can You Delete Your Healthgrades Profile?
Unfortunately, there is no way to remove your Healthgrades profile.
Healthgrades states their mission is:
“to provide trusted information that helps consumers and providers make meaningful connections.”
Some providers want to delete their profile to distance themselves from negative reviews. Others want to remove their profile to avoid negative reviews in the first place.
The information on the profiles comes from public information. And that’s why Healthgrades generally does not remove profiles.
