How to Remove Yourself from Avvo

Unfortunately, Avvo does not allow profiles to be deleted from their platform. 

On Avvo, profiles can be created in two ways:

• Automatic generation using public information
• Created by the lawyer themselves

Profiles created under both circumstances will not be removed from the platform even if you reach out to them with a request to delete the profile.

Avvo uses public information to create profiles, and lawyers can only update and add information to their profile. Since everything is public information, Avvo argues that your profile on the platform should not be taken down. Even if you reach out to them to delete your profile, you aren’t likely to have much luck because of this policy.
