What Does Avvo Rating Mean
Your Avvo rating is generated from an average of each rating that a client leaves for you. Depending on your rating, you can be distinguished as a superb, average, or below-average lawyer.
The goal, of course, is to have the quality of your work reflected honestly on your Avvo profile.
The rating itself is compiled based on information pulled from:
- your public record
- information you provided on your profile
- ratings that users are leaving for you.
Avvo has a mathematical algorithm that helps them take all of these points of data into account. For example, even if you have all 10-star ratings from your clients, your average rating may be struggling due to other factors.
Each lawyer is rated based on the same standards, allowing you to honestly compete with others in your area without worrying that Avvo is playing favorites.
